Talkin’ Blockade Runners (and Other Stuff)

Posted in Memory by Andy Hall on December 4, 2014

SmallRunnerCaptain2I’d like to extend my thanks to the Terry’s Texas Rangers 2426 Chapter of the UDC in Richmond for having me back to speak to them again on Monday. It’s always good to have an excuse to talk about the conflict as it happened here in this part of Texas. The Terry’s Rangers Chapter also honored me (and caught me totally by surprise) with a presentation of the UDC’s Jefferson Davis Historical Gold Medal for the blockade running book. Thanks, y’all!

I have a few more presentations scheduled so far for 2015. I hope to see some of you there.

Terry’s Texas Rangers were right. The honour is totally merited – I have a copy of your book and it is a great read, adding to our knowledge of that turbulent time. Looking forward to more from your pen!
