    Thanks, Andy. This man’s music has somehow been a number of mileposts in my life – starting as a young man and a rabid fan of Ronnie Hawkins and the Hawks. Charles Pierce’ obituary says all I could possibly say.

    got interested in Levon Helm after I saw Electric Mist. I also was born in 1940 and are the son of an Arkansas cotton farmer as well.
    Chopped and picked plenty of cotton.
    We will sorely miss him
